What paperwork is required for my horse to travel?
In order for Tail Blazers to transport your horse we will need a negative Coggins test that is dated within one year of delivery. And a Health Certificate dated within 30 days of delivery. You can get these documents from your veterinarian.
Can I just use my shot record instead of getting a Coggin test and a Health Certificate?
No. The Coggins test ia a blood test. It can take 14 days or more to get the results. Once the veterinarian has a negative Coggins test they can issue a Health Certificate.
How much will it cost to transport my horse?
The cost to transport your horse depends on multiple factors. Please submit request a quote.
Some of the factors that go into equine transportation are Gender, age, pick up location and destination, how many horses etc.
How do I schedule an equine transport?
You can request a quote through this website by clicking any of the quote buttons, email us, or you can call or text. We will provide you with a questionnaire so we can get all the details of the transportation. Once we have all this information we will provide you with a quote. Once you accept the quote a $100 deposit will be required to secure your dates.
IMPORTANT We know sometimes life happens. If you need to reschedule we must be contacted within 7 days prior to ship date. There is a lot of time and effort involved in scheduling and orchestrating a safe and hassle free move. In order to provide the best experience for you and your horses this is important.
What is your cancellation policy?
A lot of time and effort goes into planning and orchestrating a safe and smooth move. It is important to us to provide a great experience for you and your horse. To help with this we have put in place a cancellation policy. We must be notified by phone or text 40 hours prior to pick up. If notification is given in less than 40 hours the customer shall be responsible for full transportation charge. Consideration may be made in case of emergencies.
A $100 deposit is required to at time of booking to reserve dates. Any changes made to the dates and reservation must be done 7 days prior to scheduled transportation date.
Can I send tack with my horse?
It will depend on space availability. If you would like to ship your tack with your horse let us know during the quoting process. If we are able to ship your tack with your horse transportation we will not be responsible for any damages to the tack.
What type of equipment is used in transporting my horses?
At the core of our fleet, our primary transport setup is a heavy-duty 2017 Ram 2500 powered by a 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel, paired with a rugged, commercial-grade gooseneck stock trailer equipped with heavy-duty stud divider walls. This specific configuration provides maximum stability, superior ventilation, and the strength required for safe, long-haul equine transportation. The dedicated stud doors ensure that horses remain completely separated, secure, and stress-free throughout the journey.
While this is our primary rig, we occasionally utilize other specialized transport vehicles and trailers depending on scheduling, route requirements, and the specific needs of the horses being moved.
